Thomas D. Louwers, MD, MPH

Executive Physician Leader & Founder | Former Site Occupational Medical Director, U.S. Department of Energy Hanford Nuclear Reservation

Dr. Louwers brings more than 25 years of leadership in Occupational & Environmental Medicine, spanning high-consequence environments including nuclear cleanup operations, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, government contracting, and risk-sensitive private sector industries.

His background includes:

Oversight of large-scale medical surveillance programs

Leadership in radiological and chemical exposure health policy

Emergency readiness and response coordination

Return-to-work governance in regulated environments

Cross-disciplinary collaboration with IH, safety engineering, operations, & regulatory bodies

His approach blends clinical governance, operational discipline, and transparent risk communication-informed by decades of service in Navy Medicine, federal environments, and private-sector OEM leadership.
